An Italian mother was prevented from publishing her son's photos on her account at the Facebook social networking site, after her liver had sued her.
The British Daily Mail reported that the mother faces a fine of up to 10,000 euros if she again publishes her son's photos on Facebook.
The 16-year-old son lodged a complaint against his mother before the court in Rome, where he said that she was publishing pictures without his consent.
The case was raised during the Family Court's termination of the divorce proceedings between the young man's parents, as the son expressed his displeasure over the exaggeration of his mother's love for him on the internet.
The court issued a stern warning to the mother, who faced a fine of EURO10, 000 if it did not comply with the agreement, and also demanded that all pictures and videos of her child be deleted on her Facebook page.
The publication of a photograph of a person without his/her consent is contrary to the Copyright Act of Italy.
