The US State Department on Saturday issued a statement condemning the arrest of peaceful demonstrators in #إيران following protests against the regime, which enters its third consecutive day and expands to various parts of the country.
The US State Department said in a statement that it was "following reports of the numerous and peaceful protests of Iranian citizens in cities throughout the country."
The leaders of Iran, as a wealthy nation with a rich history and culture, have turned into a wicked and weak country whose most important exports are violence, bloodshed and chaos. As President Trump has said, the largest victims of Iranian leaders are the Iranian people themselves. "
The United States condemned the Iranian government's arrest of peaceful demonstrators and called on all countries to openly support the Iranian people and demand fundamental rights and end corruption, the statement said.
The US State Department said that on June 15, June 2017, Foreign minister Tellerson told a conference that he would "support the elements inside Iran that are working for a peaceful change."
Paul Ryan, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, called for support for the ongoing peaceful demonstrations in Iran.
"It is important that we support peaceful demonstrators in Iran, which means that the Iranian regime focuses on supporting terrorist organizations rather than dealing with the problems of its citizens," said Ryan in a tweet on his account through the "Tuamputation" site.
The demonstrations continued at night in a number of cities, including in Isfahan, in the centre of the country, in the north and the Ahwaz south, and the slogans were liberated against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rowhani.
Calls were also spread across social media sites and networks calling for continued protests in dozens of Iranian cities and governorates on Saturday, in the capital, Tehran.
The Iranian authorities arrested 52 demonstrators from the northeastern city of Mashhad, and transferred them to the prison of Adabad, according to a transfer of rights organizations.
